Day 01 - Arrival Delhi-Chandigarh (Dinner)
Early morning arrival in Delhi. Meet and drive straight to Delhi-Chandigarh (4-5Hrs). Check-in to hotel and rest. Afternoon some practice in the mobikes. PM: A short drive around Chandigarh to visit some of the local sights followed by welcome Dinner and some briefing.
**(Mobikes will be packed and sent to Chandigarh a day before)

Day 02 - Chandigarh-Kullu-Manali (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Early morning drive to Mandi-Kullu-Manali (approx 8hrs). Stop in Bilaspur for a short break or for Lunch. Continue drive to Kullu-famous for its apple orchards, beautiful women, wooden temples, folk music and dance. Here lies the intricate web of numerous valleys, each more beautiful than the other. Stop for tea/coffee at hotel at Naggar-the 16 th century castle. A Gallery houses the paintings of Russian artists Nicholas Roerich that is worth a visit (closes at 5PM).

Continue drive to Manali and check in to hotel. Evening, if time permits walk around the hotel-Manali, at 1926 meters on the northern edge of the Kullu valley, is the most popular tourist resort in the area. The Mall Manali- main road of Manali is the hub of activity in this tourist town. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Route: Chandigarh-Swarghat (86Km)-Bilaspur (40Km)- Mandi (69Km)-Kullu(69Km)-Manali(34Km).

Day 03 - Manali (Breakfast only)
Breakfast and hike to Hadimba Temple-is 1.5km walk from Manali is the famous Hadimba Devi temple. Maharaja Bahadur Singh built the present wooden pagoda-like temple in 1553 after earlier structures were burnt down by forest fires. Carvings of animals, plants and folk deities adorn the temple, while hunting trophies hang over its entrance.  Later visit Roerich Gallery-(Closed on Monday) a fine old house displaying the artwork of eccentric Russian painter Professor Nikolai Roerich, who died in Naggar in 1947, and his son Svetoslav Roerich who died in Bangalore in 1993. Some original rooms can be viewed from outside windows.

Evening either walk around the mall or to get a more authentic flavor of the area , take half-hour walk from the Mall across the Manalsu nala to reach the village of old Manali. The village has a ruined fort and a cluster of houses. According to popular belief it is here that Manu, The lawmaker lived around the 2 nd century BC. His treatise, the ‘Manusmriti’ is the foundations of Hindu law and of the rigid caste system based on Varna or profession.

Day 04 - Manali-Keylong (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning drive to Keylong viao Rohtang pass- the main pass opens only in summers and connects Kullu valley with Lahul and Spiti valley. Over the pass the road plummets down to Gramphu. Here the road splits northwest to the Lahaul Valley, Keylong and on to Leh, and Southeast down the southern Lahaul to the stunning Spiti valley. Arrive Keylong and check-in to hotel. Keylong, capital of Lahaul and Spiti and the only town between Manali and Leh, is a reasonable place to break a journey. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Manali-Rohtangpass (51Km)-Gramphoo (13Km)-Tandi (43Km)-Keylong (8Km).

Day 05 - Keylong-Sarchu (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Breakfast and some time free to walk around Keylong. Ride to Jispa-Darcha and proceed on the hair pin bends entering into the Higher Himalayan range. Reach the top of the gorge & head straight to Himmatnagar Cantonment. It is again unpaved stretch of the Patseo & ZinZing Bar hairpins bends, as you get closer to Suraj Tal the road & then ahead to Baralacha La (4883m). Descend down to Bharatpur and enter the gorge of Sarchu. Get out of the gorge after crossing the bridge and enter the Sarchu Plateau (4100m) with its windy factor playing a role & bringing down the temperature. Dinner and overnight in fixed tents.
Keylong-Jispa (29Km)-Baralacha Pass (53Km)-Sarchu (32Km).

Day 06 - Sarchu-Tsokar Lake (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Leave early morning. For next 30Kms ride in the plateau area a good speed but be cautious of the bad patches enroute. Ascend the road bends of Gata Loops early morning to beat the uphill traffic & scale the height of Takh (3950m) and then it is a downhill.  Cross over the low lying road in the stream and ascend uphill again the height of Lachungla pass (5060m)-54km from Sarchu. Drive downhill till you hit the base of bridge before Pang (4630m). Ensure to cross over Pang  before 1200noon as after traffic is not allowed.

Cross Pang and from Debring take right turn towards Tsokar Lake.- at a height of 4,485m. It is also called “White lake” because of the salt deposited around it- this is because there is no outlet from the Lake which makes the water brackish. The water of Tsokar is so salty that salt is taken from its banks and sold all over Ladakh and Kashmir by the locals nomads known as Rupsu Chang. All the lakes are breeding grounds for a variety of birds among them the bar-headed goose, the great crested grebe, the Brahmin duck and the brown headed gull. Overnight in the tents (basic ones).
Sarchu-Nakila Pass(42Km)-Lachungla Pass (13Km)-Pang (19Km)-Debring (43Km)*take right from here to Tsokar Lake (approx 15Km).

Day 07 - Tsokar Lake-Leh (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Drive back to Debring and cross Tanglangla (75km from Pang)  and another 30km to Rumtse. Proceed further to Leh, the saddle of Buddhist Culture.

Arrive Leh and Check-in to hotel. Leh is the ancient capital of Ladakh and has many hilltop forts and palaces to visit including the Royal Palace which overlooks the town. The town is situated on the old Silk Route and still has a trading tradition-it is well worth wandering the colorful bazaar. 
Tsokar Lake-Debring-Tanglangla Pass (34Km)-Rumtse (30Km)-Upshi (31Km)-Karu (13Km)-Thiksey (17Km)-Leh (19Km)

Day 08 - Leh-Khardungla Pass-Nubra Valley(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Early morning ride to the word’s highest motorable road: Khardung La. At 18,380 (5602m) feet the ride will take a few hours of climbing out of Leh. Enjoy unbelievable but true spectacular views of the snow covered Himalayas. Capture the moment in your camera at the top, and then ride down into the beautiful Nubra Valley. After a surrealistic ride across a vast seabed, the road climbs into an hour’s worth of twisty canyon pavement. Tonight stay in a fixed camp. Dinner and overnight.
Leh-Khardungla (50Km)– Nubra Valley(80Km).

Day 09 - Nubra Valley-Leh (Breakfast)
Back to Leh (130KM) at leisure and rest of the day is free on own. Kindly handover Mobikes back to the Mechanic to be transported back to  Delhi. Next day trip is by Jeep to Pangong.

Day 10 - Leh-Pangong Lake-Leh (Breakfast/Lunch)
Early morning drive by Jeeps for a visit of Pangong Lake (approx 5hrs) via Chang La Pass. The drive takes you through spectacular, amazing scenery, with breathtaking views of the snow covered Himalayas. The Lake is highest (4267M) salt-water lake in the world, situated along the India/China border. It is about 130 Km long and 5-6 Km wide. The Chang-Chenmo range surroundings it from the north provide a spectacular backdrop to the blue and green expanse of its brackish water. Drive back to Leh. Overnight hotel.
Leh-Thiksey(19Km)-Karu(17Km)*take left from here to Pangong Lake-approx 168 Km.

Day 11 - Leh (Breakfast)
Proceed for sightseeing  around Leh. The two most well known monasteries are Shey and Thiksey. Shey Gompa was constructed by the first king of Ladakh and was the seat of power for the pre- Tibetan Kings. Thiksey gompa is a very impressive monastery containing numerous stupas, statues, thankas , wall paintings and a large pillar engraved with the Buddha’s teachings. 
Rest of the day is free on own.

Day 12 - Leh-Delhi (Breakfast)
Transfer to domestic airport for flight to Delhi. Meet upon arrival and afternoon short tour of Old and New Delhi.

Optional: Trip to Agra available at an additional cost- 12/13-Agra- to Visit Taj Mahal.

Day 13 - Delhi-Further destination (Breakfast)
On time transfer to airport.

* Any damage to the bike will be sole responsibility of the rider.

* Tips for drivers, escort, mechanic, porters etc……

Note: The above cost is valid till 15th September 2007. 16th September 2007 onwards the hotel prices goes up quite a lot in the plains of North India due heavy traffic of cultural tourists during winter. If any booking after 15th September 2007 to April 2008 cost will be higher by USD 524 Per Person on twin sharing basis.
