Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Dominion Travel. They will assist you with your transfer to the hotel and ensure a smooth check-in process, making your arrival in Delhi hassle-free and comfortable.

Delhi, the vibrant capital of India and the third-largest city in the country, marks the beginning of your unforgettable Delhi, Agra, Jaipur tour. The city comprises two distinct parts: New Delhi, established by the British in 1911 as the imperial capital, and Old Delhi, which served as the Muslim capital from the 17th to the 19th centuries. Interestingly, the site of modern Delhi has witnessed the existence of at least eight cities, including the ancient settlement of Indraprastha, dating back over 3000 years as mentioned in the epic Mahabharata. Throughout history, Delhi has held great significance as a prominent city in the northern region of the Indian subcontinent.

Day 2: Delhi

Get ready for a day filled with excitement as you explore the vibrant city of Delhi! Immerse yourself in the rich history of this city with a full day sightseeing tour, starting with a visit to Raj Ghat. This peaceful memorial, situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, pays tribute to the great Mahatma Gandhi, who was cremated here in 1948.

Next, we'll take you to the magnificent Jama Masjid - India's largest mosque, built with striking red sandstone and white marble. Marvel at its intricate architecture and immerse yourself in its serene atmosphere. And that's not all - we'll then take you on a thrilling ride through the bustling market of Chandni Chowk on a 'cycle rickshaw', where you'll experience the sights and sounds of this lively avenue like never before.

After lunch, we'll head to New Delhi, where you'll visit the awe-inspiring Humayun’s Tomb, a beautiful garden tomb with high arches and a double dome built in the 16th Century. It's considered an early example of Mughal architecture and is said to be the predecessor of the world-renowned Taj Mahal.

Our next stop will be the iconic Qutab Minar - a major landmark in Delhi, with its beautiful grounds featuring the towering victory tower standing over 72 metres tall. From here, we'll take you on a scenic drive through Rajpath, leading to the magnificent India Gate, the Lutyens Delhi with its tree-lined boulevards, the British Viceroy's Palace (now the official residence of the President of India), the Secretariat, and Parliament House.

Day 3: Delhi- Agra by surface 220 Kms/04 hrs 

After completing the check-out formalities, our representative will meet you and accompany you on your journey to Agra, the next destination on your Golden Triangle tour. The drive from Delhi to Agra will be on the excellent new Expressway, known for its quality and efficiency.

Agra, situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, was once the capital of the Mughal Empire during the 16th and 17th centuries. Upon reaching your hotel in Agra, our representative will assist you with the check-in process.

In the afternoon, your tour guide will pick you up for a guided sightseeing tour of two iconic landmarks: the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort.

Taj Mahal: Constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal, who passed away during childbirth in 1631, the Taj Mahal is a breathtaking white-marble mausoleum. This architectural marvel is considered one of the most exquisite structures in the world and holds the title of one of the 'wonders of the world'. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it symbolizes eternal love and is an iconic symbol of India. The Taj Mahal's construction spanned 22 years, employing over 20,000 artisans from various countries. Agra Fort: Serving as the center of governance for the Mughal Empire, the Agra Fort is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, we will make a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, where you will enjoy a guided tour of this ancient capital.

Fatehpur Sikri: Located approximately 35 kilometers from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was once the deserted capital of Emperor Akbar. Built in the 16th century, this city was abandoned for 12 years due to water scarcity. Despite being uninhabited, the entire city remains remarkably preserved. The Buland Darwaza, a magnificent gateway standing at 54 meters tall, is the main entrance to this city and was built to commemorate Akbar's victory in Gujarat.

After exploring Fatehpur Sikri, your journey continues to Jaipur, the third destination of the Golden Triangle. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and recently earned its place on the prestigious list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city's pink-tinted buildings in the old city create a unique charm. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, Jaipur was strategically planned with rectangular blocks inspired by early Hindu architecture. Besides its historical significance, Jaipur is also a paradise for shoppers.

City Palace: The City Palace, still the residence of the former royalty H.H Bhawani Singh Ji of Jaipur, showcases a rich heritage. It houses an extensive collection of art, carpets, and ancient weapons, providing a glimpse into the opulence of the bygone era.
